Job Summary
Hands-on electrical design ownership role in a growth-stage medical device environment. Own analog/digital circuit design, end-to-end PCB development (schematic, layout, bring-up, testing), power system design and battery management, and hardware interfaces to embedded firmware. Responsible for RF/module integration within a regulated product, and for creating FDA submission documentation including DHF content, along with verification/validation activities (electrical safety and EMI/EMC). Collaborates across mechanical, firmware, systems, and regulatory engineers across the full product lifecycle from schematic through FDA submission. Offers real design ownership on a small R&D team with broad scope across PCB design, power systems, embedded interfaces, and RF integration, plus 10% bonus eligibility and career development opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related field
- 3+ years of electrical engineering experience on FDA-regulated medical devices (capital equipment preferred)
- Hands-on experience with FDA design controls (21 CFR Part 820) including DHF documentation
- Strong background in analog and digital circuit design
- PCB design experience using professional EDA tools (Altium, OrCAD, PADs, or similar)
- Familiarity with IEC 60601 and ISO 13485 environments
