Job Summary
Generate comprehensive technical project plans, specifications, drawings, and models aligned with industry standards and client requirements. Determine conduit and conductor sizing, assess cable tray fills, and perform short circuit and voltage drop calculations to ensure system safety and stability. Ensure all designs comply with local, state, and national electrical codes while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to resolve design issues on-site. Conduct field verifications and site walks to validate and integrate solutions into design packages.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution
- qualifying candidate for professional engineering licensure in Arizona
- Demonstrated proficiency in AutoCAD for electrical design drafting
- Knowledge of electrical codes and standards (e.g., National Electric Code, NFPA, etc.)
- Ability to clearly communicate technical information and design concepts to project managers, contractors, and cross-disciplinary teams
Desired Qualifications
- Preference will be given to candidates who hold a Professional Engineering (PE) license
- Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE/EIT) exam, with a focus on electrical engineering principles
- Experience with other tools such as Revit, ETAP, SKM Power Tools, and/or EasyPower
