Job Summary
Develop detailed electrical design drawings and technical documentation for power distribution systems, including switchgear lineups, lighting layouts, and grounding protection. Create and maintain Revit models for electrical systems, ensuring accurate representation within the building information model. Produce construction documents, panel schedules, and system diagrams while participating in BIM coordination efforts for multi-discipline clash detection. Determine conduit, conductor, and wire sizing, assess cable tray fills, and perform short circuit and voltage drop calculations. Ensure all designs adhere to local, state, and national electrical codes. Collaborate with mechanical, structural, and architectural teams to optimize design integrity and resolve unusual problems.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering field
- Additional certifications or coursework in BIM/Revit
- Demonstrated proficiency in Revit
- experience in electrical modeling

- BIM coordination workflows
- Minimum 3+ yrs experience with BIM coordination tools such as Navisworks
