Electrical Engineer

Electrical Engineer to design and deliver telecommunications base-station engineering services. Responsibilities include designing AC specifications and SLDs, DC power systems, earthing and lightning protection, and shelter/equipment-room configurations per carrier requirements; sizing AC/DC cables, PSU battery reserves, heat loads and cooling, soil resistivity testing, and site load calculations; reviewing designs for compliance with carrier specs and Australian Standards; providing engineering support through the project lifecycle from design to build and acceptance; collaborating with construction teams to resolve site issues and incorporate buildability feedback; liaising with supply authorities for new connections or upgrades; mentoring junior engineers. Required skills include strong knowledge of AS3000, AS3008, AS3015, AS1768, DNSP processes, and effective cross-functional communication; experience in professional services/consulting environments; eligibility for or membership of Engineers Australia (MIEAust).
