Job Summary
As an Electrical Engineer / Senior Engineer at WSP, you will deliver a variety of projects in the mechanical, electrical, and public health (MEP) disciplines, providing design and technical advice. Responsibilities include supervising detailed design completion, conducting feasibility studies, and directing junior staff. Required skills include electrical design expertise, experience with low voltage distribution systems, and proficiency in lighting calculations and fire detection systems. You should have a BEng/BSc/MEng degree and be working towards CIBSE/IET chartership.
Required Qualifications
- BEng/BSc/MEng in applicable engineering discipline
- CIBSE / IET / Engineering Council Chartership or working towards it
- Proven track record in delivering projects
- Ability to engage with clients, contractors, and design team members
- Ability to sketch and communicate technical details effectively
- Detailed understanding of applicable regulations
Desired Qualifications
- Leadership skills
- RevitMEP training applied to the discipline
- Expertise in electrical design
- Familiarity with latest electrical design software packages
- Understanding of UK and European regulations
Additional Requirements
- Must be able to obtain UK vetting level of Security Check (SC)
