Job Summary
Senior Electrical Engineer, Secondary Systems in Aurecon's Transmission & Distribution team. Design and deliver advanced Substation Secondary systems for distribution and transmission networks up to 500kV. Lead engineering projects, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, mentor junior engineers, contribute to proposals, engage with regional clients, and ensure safety, reliability, and efficiency through adherence to quality standards. You will apply your expertise to design and deliver high-quality solutions, mentor colleagues, and drive business growth across Australia and beyond. You’ll work within a culture that values sustainability, innovation, and continuous learning, with opportunities to develop technical mastery through Aurecon Design Academy and partnerships like RMIT University.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (required)
- Experience in High Voltage Secondary Substation design and project delivery (highly desirable with Transgrid projects)
- Proven ability to serve as a trusted technical advisor to clients
- Demonstrated capability in managing and providing technical leadership to design teams, including Global Delivery Centres
- Strong track record in managing design projects in compliance with quality management systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
