Job Summary
Design industrial automation systems by developing schematics, specifications, and documentation for PLC installations, VFD systems, and UPS solutions. Analyze electrical system compatibility, program custom software using Ladder Diagram or Structured Text, and perform simulations to validate performance. Supervise installation and commissioning of integrated power systems while diagnosing network issues and delivering training to operators. Serve as the go-to authority on power systems, including utility interfacing and energy storage, to lead technical reviews and mentor engineers. Collaborate with project managers to ensure seamless execution from concept to completion within budget and time constraints.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely-related field
- Strong technical skills and experience working with system controls, PLC systems, VFDs, UPS equipment, and related hardware
- Solid understanding of networking protocols, automation principles, and advanced programming languages
- Demonstrated expertise in power-system engineering—such as utility interfacing, protection coordination, and power-quality analysis
- Must be authorized to access information subject to U.S. export control laws or eligible for government authorization
