Job Summary
Conduct power system studies including load flow, short circuit, and arc flash analysis using ETAP, PSCAD, and CDEGS software. Design and review electrical systems for power distribution, industrial control, and renewable energy projects. Troubleshoot electrical tripping incidents and provide technical support to clients by resolving queries on project reports. Deliver professional presentations and training sessions on software usage and system optimization.
Required Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree or higher in electrical engineering or a related field from a recognized university or institution
- Minimum 2 - 4 years of working experience in a similar industry or equivalent
- Proficiency in fundamental principles of electrical engineering and knowledge of electrical products and their workings
- Strong academic knowledge/ working level knowledge of electrical power system studies such as Load flow, short circuit, Motor Start, Transient Stability, Relay Co-ordination, Arc Flash, Harmonic Analysis, electromagnetic interference, and electromagnetic switching transient
- Academic knowledge of FACT devices such as SVC, STATCOM, active filters etc.
- Knowledge of on grid interconnected battery & energy storage system, grid integrated renewable generation, grid connected inverters, inverter dynamics
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills
- Basic computer skills related to creation of reports and presentations in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint
- Good communication and report writing skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of the team
- Exposure to ETAP/PSCAD/CDEGS software or other similar software as well
- Knowledge of Python, MATLAB coding etc
- Experience in the design and implementation of renewable energy systems
- Must undergo and pass a comprehensive background check before they start employment
