Job Summary

Design and build electrical systems for copper processing and refining, translating process concepts into robust electrical designs. Lead power distribution buildout including service entrance, switchgear, MCCs, and transformers while ensuring NEC/NFPA 70E compliance. Commission mechanical and processing equipment through hands-on troubleshooting and root cause analysis on the plant floor. Analyze equipment data to improve efficiency, yield, and throughput. Partner with Mechanical, Chemical, and Controls engineers to execute integrated manufacturing processes. Interface directly with vendors and contractors to accelerate project delivery. Contribute to next-generation automation systems using AI and real-time analytics. Establish engineering standards and best practices as we build the plant from the ground up.

Required Qualifications

  • Electrical Engineer
  • Design, build, and own the plant's electrical systems
  • Maintain, improve, and expand the existing electrical infrastructure

  • Translate process concepts, equipment specifications, and production requirements into robust electrical system designs
  • Partner closely with Mechanical, Chemical, Metallurgical, and Controls Engineers

  • Coordinate with utilities, contractors, and permitting authorities
  • Support installation, commissioning, startup, and optimization of new equipment
  • Hands-on troubleshooting

  • Analyze electrical systems, equipment performance, and energy consumption
  • Work directly with equipment vendors, electrical contractors, electricians, and technicians
  • Contribute to the development of next-generation automation and manufacturing systems
  • Integrate controls, data infrastructure, AI, and real-time analytics
  • Help establish engineering standards, documentation, and best practices
  • Professional Engineering License
  • Experience with large scale industrial electrical design
