Electrical Engineer

Job Summary

Conduct advanced electrical engineering analysis and system studies including arc flash, short circuit, and load flow using ETAP or equivalent tools. Develop electrical system designs such as one-line diagrams, motor control schematics, and conduit schedules, while sizing power distribution and protection systems. Perform QA/QC reviews of drawings and calculations to ensure compliance with codes like NEC and NESC, then coordinate deliverables with multidisciplinary teams. Support project execution through field assessments, RFI responses, and integration of municipal requirements. Based in The Galleria, this role requires a P.E. license and 5+ years of experience in midstream energy or industrial facilities.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 5+ years of electrical engineering experience supporting midstream energy, petrochemical, or industrial facilities
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required, preferably in the State of Texas
  • Advanced experience with ETAP, SKM, or equivalent electrical analysis software
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD, PLS-CADD, PLS-Pole, or equivalent tools
  • Strong familiarity with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
  • Proven experience applying industry codes and standards including: NFPA 70 (NEC), NESC, IEEE, NEMA, IES, UL, API RP 500, AGA XL101, Title 49 CFR Parts 190–199
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills

Desired Qualifications

  • P.E. license in the State of Texas
