Job Summary
Lead electrical design for building power distribution, lighting, emergency power, and specialty systems; serve as the primary client contact, building and maintaining strong relationships; oversee project scope, schedules, and budgets to ensure on-time, quality delivery; prepare and review electrical construction documents (one-line diagrams, load calculations, lighting layouts, specifications); coordinate with mechanical, plumbing, fire protection engineers, architects, and consultants; conduct site visits for field verification, construction administration, and punch lists; ensure designs comply with NEC, NFPA, and local building codes; mentor and guide junior engineers, providing technical leadership and oversight; assist with proposals, RFP responses, and business development initiatives
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license preferred, or ability to obtain within 12 months
- 6–15 years of electrical engineering experience in building systems design
- Proven project management experience on multi-discipline projects
- Strong knowledge of NEC, NFPA, and building codes
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit; experience with lighting calculation software preferred
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, client-focused environment
