Job Summary
Senior Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design for power generation facilities, substations, and utility modernization projects. Responsibilities include master-planning electrical engineering design for steam-electric generation, CHP/cogeneration, odor? backup diesel generation, performing load flow and short-circuit analyses, coordinating protective device coordination, producing deliverables such as one-line diagrams and panel schedules, leading cross-disciplinary project teams, mentoring junior engineers, advising clients on complex technical solutions, and driving plant modernization and field coordination initiatives. Requires a BSEE, PE license, 10–20+ years of experience in power plant electrical design, proficiency with SKM/ETAP/EasyPower, and ability to travel 5–10%.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE)
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license
- 10–20+ years of electrical engineering experience in power plant electrical design and utility infrastructure
- Experience with power systems analysis and electrical design software (e.g., SKM, ETAP, EasyPower)
- Willingness to travel 5–10%
- Strong knowledge of power generation systems, energy management systems, electrical distribution, and protective relaying
- Ability to lead multidisciplinary projects and mentor junior engineers
