Job Summary
Lead the design and development of electrical systems for building projects in the San Francisco Bay Area, including equipment selection, layouts, and specifications. Perform detailed electrical calculations and design analysis; develop coordinated construction documents and technical specifications. Coordinate with mechanical, plumbing, fire protection, and other disciplines; manage electrical scopes across multiple projects to ensure schedules, quality, and deliverables. Begin leading small project teams, assign tasks, monitor progress, and participate in client meetings. Maintain awareness of codes and best practices; pursue licensure as appropriate; candidate should reside in or relocate to the San Francisco Bay Area.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- 5+ years of experience in an electrical engineering consulting environment
- Demonstrated ability to lead electrical design efforts and manage project responsibilities
- Strong technical foundation in power distribution, lighting systems, and applicable codes
- Clear, professional communication skills and comfort working client-facing
