Job Summary
Conduct analysis and consulting on scientific and engineering problems across electrical, electronic components, products, and systems. Support client projects involving failure analysis, risk assessment, reliability, design, and manufacturing by researching novel methodologies, designing experiments, supervising tests, and analyzing data. Participate in every stage of the project lifecycle from scoping and proposals to report preparation and client presentations. Pursue business development opportunities while working as an individual contributor within multidisciplinary teams. Apply first-principles thinking to solve urgent, high-profile technical challenges in consumer electronics, medical devices, and electrical infrastructure.
Required Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field such as Applied Physics or Optics
- Presently legally authorized to work in the United States; no immigration sponsorship or processing required
Desired Qualifications
- 1-2 years of relevant experience in industry or postdoc after completing a Ph.D. is preferred
- Technical focus in electronics, semiconductors, circuits, electromagnetics, power electronics, or related cross-disciplinary areas
- Experience building bench-top or product-level optical systems or building medical devices strongly preferred
- Experience with electrical test equipment, designing, validating and conducting electrical tests, and troubleshooting
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to convey technical conclusions to both technical and non-technical staff in engineering, business, and industry
- Self-starter with strong fundamentals and first-principles thinking, interested in learning about new topics
- Strong desire to help clients with their technical needs
