Job Summary
Design power distribution, lighting, fire protection interfaces, and electrical utility connections for modular building structures. Produce engineering drawings, specifications, load calculations, and technical documentation using AutoCAD and Revit. Perform system performance analyses and ensure designs meet energy efficiency and code compliance requirements. Review and approve shop drawings and fabrication submittals to confirm electrical systems are build-ready before factory production. Ensure all electrical designs comply with applicable local, state, and federal codes including NEC and applicable building standards. Participate in design reviews, value engineering, and risk assessments across multiple concurrent projects. Coordinate electrical system integration with mechanical, structural, and architectural disciplines.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license — Electrical
- Multi-state PE licensure is a significant plus
- Minimum 5 years of relevant electrical systems design experience
- Experience with power distribution design, NEC compliance, and lighting systems
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit
- Strong working knowledge of electrical and mechanical system integration
- Familiarity with pre-engineered, manufactured, or prefabricated construction environments
