Job Summary
Lead design, installation, and commissioning of industrial electrical systems including DCS, medium voltage switchgear, DC battery backup systems, transformers, generator excitation, and 480V distribution. Perform engineering functions related to planning, design, licensing, construction, operation, and maintenance of the company’s generation facility. Oversee equipment testing, troubleshooting, site inspections, and regulatory compliance. Collaborate with and mentor other engineers and control/electrical technicians. Manage projects, timelines, and budgets for both capital and O&M expenditures; handle day-to-day and outage projects. Rotational on-call support.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering
- A minimum of five or more years experience in industrial power systems or electric utility power systems, or related professional experience
- Project management and leadership skills
- Knowledge of National Electric Codes
- Ability to perform under pressure
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient with PC tools
