Job Summary
Design and develop RF sub-circuits and digital connectivity circuits for mission-critical communications products, focusing on receivers, transmitters, VCOs, and frequency mixers. Execute RF development and debugging to ensure uninterrupted production supply, while creating test scripts to validate devices using RF and digital equipment. Perform RF testing and validation plans, generating detailed documentation for product failures and design change resolutions. Integrate hardware and software teams during product development, specifically managing TETRA Gateway Timing Sequences, and utilize simulation tools and hardware emulation for functional verification and manufacturing support.
Required Qualifications
- Degree / Masters in Electrical (RF) / Electronics / Telecommunication / Communication Engineering
- Minimum 3~7 yrs direct working experience in RF and communication hardware design
- Ability to work independently
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Must be team-focused and highly self-motivated with a desire to explore new approaches and technology
- Attain good debug skills with simulation test-benches and hardware emulation as well as provide functional verification, and manufacturing support
- Preferably have good R&D background in RF passive designs and RF components, such as RF areas of Rx, FGU, VCO that comply to stringent Specification
- Familiar with design CAD tools for schematic capture layout - Mentor Graphics/Cadance PCB Layout Tool
- Other EE software simulation tools such as ADS, CST etc
- Familiarity on integration process between HW and SW team and experienced in debugging issues during this integration phase
- Experienced in debugging RF/Digital issues due to certification/conformance testing and debugging
- Must know how to utilize RF equipment, such as spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators, oscilloscopes, power supplies and multi-meters
- Experience with simulation tool, e.g. ADS/PSPICE/SI tool
- Experience with Scrum/Agile/SAFe development methodologies
- Experience with DFSS and 6-sigma methodologies
