Job Summary
Electrical Engineer (Mid-Senior Level) for Progressive Design, Inc. in the Richmond, VA area. Full-time/direct hire role in Midlothian, VA, focusing on electrical design duties for heavy industrial projects, including power distribution, machine control, and instrumentation design. Responsibilities include developing concepts aligned with company and client standards, delivering final project documentation, collaborating with Project Managers, Engineers, and clients, creating materials lists and quotations, assisting with schedules and specifications, performing fieldwork and technical research, conducting constructability reviews, maintaining design files and calculation sheets, ensuring accuracy of deliverables, and tracking budgets and schedules across concurrent design activities.
Required Qualifications
- Electrical Engineering degree from an accredited undergraduate program
- 5+ years or relevant experience in heavy industrial field
- Virginia Professional Engineer preferred but not required
- Experience with AutoCAD software
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Must be results oriented
- Must be a team player
- Must possess uncompromised commitment to quality
- Must be a US citizen, Have a Valid Driver's License, Pass a Drug Test & Background Check
