Electrical Engineer - MEP/Facilities - 2nd Stage

Job Summary
Design complete electrical systems for commercial, institutional, and public facilities from conception through construction documents using Revit and AutoCAD. Prepare project layouts, construction plans, and documentation including estimates, specifications, and bid proposals. Coordinate with team members to solve engineering problems, manage project scopes and schedules, and assemble permit submittals for city, county, and state agencies. Perform design calculations, attend pre-construction and site observation meetings, and draft reports. Obtain Florida Professional Engineer licensure or EIT status within 36 months. US Citizens and Green card holders only. Nights and weekends may occasionally be required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering
- 2-5 years experience
- Proficiency with AutoCAD
- Proficiency with Revit
- Proficiency with MS Outlook, MS Excel, and MS Word
- Valid drivers license and maintenance of satisfactory driving record
- Florida Professional Engineer licensure or Engineer in Training (EIT) with ability to obtain licensure within 36 months of hire
- US Citizens and Green cards
- Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and clients
- Ability to organize work, set priorities, meet critical deadlines, and follow-up on assignments with minimal supervision
- Ability to maintain confidentially and protect privileged client information and documents appropriately
- Ability to work calmly and effectively in a high-volume office environment under pressure of heavy deadlines
- Knowledge of correct English usage including spelling, grammar, punctuation, and vocabulary
- Regularly required to talk or hear
- Frequently required to sit for long periods of time
- Occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Must frequently lift and/or move up to ten (10) pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus
- As dictated by client site protocol, candidate will be required to utilize proper personal protective equipment including but not limited to gloves, sleeves, leather protectors, hard hats, safety vests, safety glasses and shields, hearing protection, safety shoes, covers, helmets/hoods, and any additional tools required for the task at hand
