Electrical Engineer (MEP Design)

Job Summary
Design electrical systems including power distribution, lighting controls, and emergency power systems, while coordinating low-voltage systems and producing designs for bidding and construction. Prepare and interpret technical drawings, analyze client requirements, and select components to meet project specifications. Collaborate with engineers, architects, contractors, and clients to manage project deadlines, review contractor submittals, and ensure designs conform to contract requirements. Support team members through mentorship and knowledge sharing. This role combines technical design, project management, and client interaction for energy-efficient building systems and complex infrastructure projects.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in MEP or consulting engineering design
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering
- Strong understanding of electrical system design and infrastructure
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit
Desired Qualifications
- FE (Fundamentals of Engineering) certification or progress toward PE licensure
- Experience with energy systems and renewable energy design
- Experience with construction administration and submittal review processes
