Job Summary
Monitor unit instrument and electrical equipment for safe operations, diagnose failures, and implement corrective actions to reduce risks and maintenance costs. Support emergency troubleshooting, unit startups, and turnaround scope reviews while ensuring compliance with Management of Change processes. Perform instrument and electrical design for capital projects, update technical drawings, and create maintenance procedures. Provide training assistance to the unit team and participate in Process Hazard Analysis as needed.
Required Qualifications
- BS in Electrical Engineering
- Advanced PC skills
- Research skills (Internet, technical journals, code books, federal registers, etc.)
- General knowledge of electrical and instrumentation principles
- Effective organizational and oral and written communications skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and with a team
Desired Qualifications
- Working knowledge of instrumentation typical in chemical industry
- Working knowledge of electrical equipment typical in chemical industry
