Job Summary
Design and fabricate test fixtures for thermal control and energy conversion equipment, while developing novel, robust test hardware. Collaborate with the product development team to design for testability, review requirements, and transition products to manufacturing. Design, lay out, assemble, and test printed circuit boards, and develop data acquisition systems using Python, LabVIEW, and C/C++. Program microcontrollers to interface with peripherals and execute mechanical integration of custom fixtures. Requires BS in Electrical Engineering or AAS with industry experience, internship history, and proficiency in test equipment. United States Citizenship required due to ITAR restrictions.
Required Qualifications
- BS in Electrical Engineering with a minimum GPA of 3.3
- AAS in Electrical Engineering Technology with industry experience
- Internship experience
- Hands-on experience with test equipment and lab instruments (oscilloscopes, digital multimeters (DMMs), etc.)
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced production environment
- A constructive mindset for systematic debugging and root cause analysis of circuits and firmware
- Proficient technical documentation skills
- Excellent professional communication and collaboration skills
- Knowledge of electronic components and power supplies including how to vet them for various applications
- Working knowledge of manufacturing standards (IPC) and regulatory compliance (UL, ETL, FCC, MIL)
- United States Citizenship
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with the National Electrical Code (NEC) standards
- Knowledge of CAD software
