Job Summary
Electrical Engineer sought to architect and engineer comprehensive electrical systems in a Charlotte-based firm. Lead design of AC power distribution, interior/exterior lighting, and life-safety systems; supervise Electrical Designers; coordinate with clients, contractors, code officials, and multi-disciplinary teams; perform advanced calculations (photometrics, voltage drop, fault current, energy code compliance); design power distribution frameworks including switchboards, transformers, overcurrent protection, and emergency generator systems; ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA 101, and NFPA 72; oversee submittals, RFIs, and field inspections to realize design intent.
Required Qualifications
- B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET/EAC accredited program
- Professional Engineer (PE) licensure with ability to obtain multi-state comity
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in design of commercial, healthcare, or industrial electrical systems
- Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite and experience with electrical modeling software (SKM or similar)
- Exceptional organizational skills and ability to lead project meetings and present technical assignments to stakeholders
