Job Summary
Lead design of mission-critical electrical power, lighting, grounding, and fire alarm systems for DoD and federal facilities; engineer secure communications infrastructure for military and federal installations; prepare high-fidelity construction documents, perform QC reviews, and ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA, and UFC standards. Collaborate with architectural, mechanical, and structural teams to deliver constructible, high-performance building environments. Support bid evaluations, respond to RFIs, and conduct onsite documentation to resolve field coordination challenges. This role supports transitioning from mid-level design into senior leadership and project ownership within a DoD-focused portfolio.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE)
- 5+ years of progressive experience in electrical system design and construction support in a consulting or AEC environment
- Advanced command of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with NEC and NFPA standards
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to translate complex technical data into clear reports and project documentation
