Job Summary
Electrical Engineer sought to lead design and architecture of electrical systems for diverse environments (from healthcare facilities to industrial complexes). Serve as the technical linchpin, overseeing power distribution, lighting, and life-safety system design; act as primary client/contractor liaison; supervise junior designers; ensure NEC/NFPA and energy-code compliance; author specifications using CSI MasterFormat; manage submittals and RFIs to bridge design and construction. In-office role based in Greenville, SC, with opportunities to influence project direction and mentorship within a growing firm.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- Active Professional Engineering (PE) license
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in electrical building systems design (Commercial, Industrial, or Healthcare)
- Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite; professional exposure to AutoCAD and/or Revit MEP
- Proficiency with SKM Power*Tools or similar electrical modeling software
- Project Management experience; ability to lead design efforts with minimal supervision
- Knowledge of NEC, NFPA Life Safety, and energy codes; ability to provide official seals on drawings in applicable jurisdictions
- CSI MasterFormat experience for high-precision specifications
- Construction Administration experience (submittals, RFIs, field due diligence)
- Multi-State Mobility/Eligibility for licensure in multiple jurisdictions (preferred)
- Healthcare/Industrial/Commercial design experience
