Job Summary
Design and program electrical, PLC, and robotic control systems throughout the full software and systems life cycle, from design through coding, testing, installation, configuration, and documentation. Develop electrical, controls, and automation solutions for equipment built in CWST Engineering, providing technical support for deployed facilities globally. Travel to various CWST sites worldwide for equipment installation and troubleshooting, requiring strong competency in mechanical response and feedback. This role supports the development of highly engineered, critical function products for commercial, industrial, defense, and energy markets.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or similar field
- Experience with electrical systems and components (circuit breakers, relays, switches, transmitters, power supplies, etc.)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar or complimentary role
- Demonstrated ability to apply sound engineering judgement to resolve technical challenges
- Programming experience - including PLCs, Industrial Automation software, LabVIEW, C++, etc.
- Electrical wiring layouts/schematics/diagrams using CAD tools (Solidworks Electrical desirable)
- Communication protocols (Ethernet, Profibus, EtherCAT)
- Experience in manufacturing processes
- Experience with Siemens and Beckhoff platforms
- Travel to various CWST sites globally
- High degree of competency with mechanical response, trouble-shooting, feedback
Desired Qualifications
- Programming experience is desirable - including PLCs, Industrial Automation software, LabVIEW, C++, etc.
- Electrical wiring layouts/schematics/diagrams using CAD tools (Solidworks Electrical desirable)
- Communication protocols (Ethernet, Profibus, EtherCAT)
- Experience in manufacturing processes is desirable
