Job Summary
Lead the development and review of deliverables including equipment layouts, grounding systems, bus configurations, and conduct and cable schedules. Perform and oversee engineering calculations for grounding analysis, cable sizing, voltage drop, fault current, and equipment ratings. Lead equipment selection, specification development, and vendor drawing reviews while preparing, reviewing, and approving design packages. Coordinate across multidisciplinary teams to manage multiple projects, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, and budget. Ensure all designs comply with applicable industry codes and standards and interface directly with clients to resolve technical issues. Conduct site visits, field inspections, and provide construction support as needed.

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Engineering, or related field
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Engineering, or related field preferred
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- 8+ years of experience in power delivery (transmission and distribution systems for utilities or industrial), renewable energy, or power generation
- Demonstrated experience leading substation design projects and mentoring junior staff
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MicroStation, and electrical analysis software (ETAP, CYME, SKM, PSCAD)
- Strong knowledge of industry codes and standards (IEEE, NESC, NEC, ANSI)
- Proven leadership, project management, and decision-making skills
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with client-facing experience
- Excellent computer skills; proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook with advanced MS Office skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Engineering, or related field preferred
- Experience with PVcase, PVCAD a plus
- Knowledge of renewable energy industry relating to utility scale wind and solar projects, such as MV power systems and AC/DC distribution system a plus
- Experience with Battery Energy Storage Systems a plus
- Manufacturer experience of power transformer, circuit breaker, AIS/GIS switchgear, AC/DC inverter, etc.
