Job Summary
Lead the development and review of substation deliverables including equipment layouts, grounding systems, bus configurations, and conduct schedules. Perform and oversee engineering calculations for grounding analysis, cable sizing, voltage drop, and fault current while managing multiple projects simultaneously. Prepare, review, and approve design packages, coordinate across multidisciplinary teams, and conduct site visits for construction support. Ensure all designs comply with industry codes and standards while interfacing directly with clients to resolve technical issues and support proposal development.

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Engineering, or related field
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- 8+ years of experience in power delivery (transmission and distribution systems for utilities or industrial), renewable energy, or power generation
- Demonstrated experience leading substation design projects and mentoring junior staff
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MicroStation, and electrical analysis software (ETAP, CYME, SKM, PSCAD)
- Strong knowledge of industry codes and standards (IEEE, NESC, NEC, ANSI)
- Proven leadership, project management, and decision-making skills
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with client-facing experience
- Excellent computer skills; proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook with advanced MS Office skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Engineering, or related field preferred
- Experience with PVcase, PVCAD a plus
- Knowledge of renewable energy industry relating to utility scale wind and solar projects, such as MV power systems and AC/DC distribution system a plus
- Experience with Battery Energy Storage Systems a plus
- Manufacturer experience of power transformer, circuit breaker, AIS/GIS switchgear, AC/DC inverter, etc.
