Job Summary
Senior Electrical Engineer IV leading the design, development, modification, and evaluation of highly complex electrical components and systems in areas such as power and control systems, EWIS, or related fields. Responsible for mentoring engineers, serving as technical lead for specialized projects, conducting tests and simulations to validate performance, documenting design processes and results, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet project requirements and standards. Requires strong expertise in electrical/avionic systems architectures, trade studies, requirements management, and V&V practices; proficient in applicable design and simulation tools; active Top Secret with SCI eligibility is required.
Required Qualifications
- Requires Bachelor's degree in a related field (or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree or Masters +6 yrs experience).
- Typically 8+ years of related experience.
- Specialized expertise in a particular area (e.g., power systems, control systems, EWIS, CD&H, etc).
- In-depth knowledge of relevant industry standards.
- Advanced knowledge of electrical and avionic systems architectures and their design.
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve more complex problems.
- Ability to provide mentorship and guidance to less experienced engineers.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision on projects involving both small and large engineering teams.
- Knowledge of requirements management, functional requirements parsing, derivation, and allocation.
- Knowledge of systems integration, technical risk identification and management strategies, and Verification and Validation (V&V) principles.
- Experience performing trade studies to support subsystem architecture decisions.
- An active Top Secret with SCI eligibility U.S. Security Clearance is required.
