On-siteSanta Clara, California, United States
Job Summary
Design, simulate, and validate analog and mixed-signal circuits, including signal conditioning, power management, and sensor interfaces. Architect embedded systems with microcontrollers and firmware interfaces, while managing multilayer PCB design from schematic capture through high-volume manufacturing. Perform design reviews, tolerance analysis, and root-cause failure analysis to ensure reliability and manufacturability. Coordinate procurement and resolve technical issues to support NPI ramp and sustained production quality. Partner with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement in design methodology and compliance with EMC/EMI and safety standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Minimum 8+ years of relevant electrical hardware design experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
- Demonstrated strong capability in analog and mixed-signal circuit design
- Hands-on experience with embedded systems design and hardware/firmware integration
- Solid working knowledge of DFx methodologies (DFM, DFT, DFR, DFC)
- Proven experience taking PCB designs from prototype through high-volume manufacturing, including multilayer layout, signal/power integrity, and design-for-manufacturing considerations
- Proficiency with schematic capture and PCB tools (e.g., Cadence Allegro/OrCAD, Altium, or equivalent) and lab instrumentation for bring-up and debug
- Hands-on experience with analog mixed-signal (AMS) circuit development from definition to high-volume production including layout supervision, PCB & BOM & PCBA management, bench evaluation, failure analysis, correlation, and characterization
- Cross functional team collaboration with respect to system electrical, mechanical, run-time SW and driver
- Solid knowledge of IPC and extensive experience on DFM, DFA, DFT, DVT, EVT, pre-compliance, compliance, reliability
- Working experience in the semiconductor industry or semiconductor capital equipment
- Knowledge of FPGA HW Application
- Experience with high-speed digital design, power electronics, or precision motion/control systems
- Familiarity with EMC/EMI compliance and regulatory/safety standards
Desired Qualifications
- Leadership
- May lead functional teams or projects with moderate resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity
- Problem Solving
- Leads others to solve complex problems; uses sophisticated analytical thought to exercise judgment and identify innovative solutions
- Impact
- Impacts the achievement of customer, operational, project or service objectives; work is guided by functional policies
- Interpersonal Skills
