Job Summary
Lead electrical design and project delivery for complex life sciences and food & beverage facilities, covering programming through construction support. Design and coordinate low- and medium-voltage power distribution systems, including switchgear, panelboards, transformers, and protective devices, while performing advanced calculations for load studies, short-circuit analysis, and arc flash evaluations. Direct engineering teams, collaborate with multidisciplinary project managers and contractors, and provide technical leadership during construction via RFI responses and site observations. Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices within the team. Located in Raleigh, NC, Jacksonville, FL, or Atlanta, GA.
Required Qualifications
- ABET‐accredited Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering
- 15+ years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably in a consulting or design firm environment
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Proven experience designing and leading projects involving building or industrial power systems and voltage‐based electrical infrastructure
- Can be located in Raleigh, NC, Jacksonville, FL or Atlanta, GA
- Employment is contingent on background screening
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in GMP manufacturing environments, including life sciences or food & beverage facilities
- Strong working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable building codes
- Hands‐on experience with: Low‐ and medium‐voltage systems
- Hands‐on experience with: Power distribution, lighting, and special systems
- Hands‐on experience with: Short‐circuit, coordination, load flow, and arc flash studies
- Strong troubleshooting skills for electrical power and system performance issues
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams
