Job Summary
Senior Electrical Engineer role leading electrical design for complex projects across all phases, focusing on low- and medium-voltage power distribution systems (switchgear, panelboards, transformers, feeders, grounding, protective devices), advanced power-system analyses (load studies, short-circuit, arc flash, voltage drop), and producing code-compliant construction drawings and specifications. Responsibilities include team leadership and collaboration with project managers, architectural/mechanical/structural/process teams, contractors, and vendors; coordinating with clients and construction teams from concept through construction; providing technical leadership during construction (RFI responses, submittals, site observations, punch lists); mentoring junior engineers and designers; promoting best practices and continuous improvement. Preferred experience includes GMP manufacturing environments, NEC/building codes, and hands-on experience with low- and medium-voltage systems, power distribution, lighting, short-circuit/coordination/load-flow/arc-flash studies, and strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- ABET-accredited Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering
- 15+ years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably in a consulting or design firm
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Proven experience designing and leading projects involving building or industrial power systems and voltage-based electrical infrastructure
