Job Summary
Prepare electrical detailed design, production drawings, and schematics for industrial, commercial, and institutional buildings using AutoCAD or Revit. Design layouts and specifications for lighting, electrical distribution, emergency power, fire alarm systems, and cable schedules while ensuring ASHRAE and LEED compliance. Engage with clients and consultants on project reports, create technical documentation and equipment selections, and review shop drawings to confirm adherence to project requirements. Maintain strict adherence to company policies and file structures. This role supports INVIRO's work in the ICI sector with a focus on diverse, challenging projects.
Required Qualifications
- Post-secondary Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng) designation
- Eligible to work in Canada
- 5+ years of experience in Electrical Engineering for industrial, commercial, and/or institutional buildings
- Work experience designing HV substations, fire alarms, lighting, emergency power generation, MV and LV distribution systems, and large electrical systems
- Knowledge of applicable codes and standards such as the Canadian Electrical Code, Ontario Building Code (OBC), Canadian National Building Code (NBC), etc.
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering
- Membership with the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ)
