Job Summary

Design and implement electrical systems, controls, and automation solutions for manufacturing processes to enhance productivity and reduce downtime. Troubleshoot circuitry, instrumentation, and equipment failures by collaborating with maintenance technicians to diagnose issues and provide technical guidance for preventative maintenance. Analyze existing processes to identify optimization opportunities, ensuring compliance with industry standards such as NEC, IEC, and UL while conducting regular quality inspections and audits. Maintain accurate documentation of designs and specifications, generate performance reports for management, and provide training to manufacturing staff on electrical systems and troubleshooting techniques. Available for 24-hour consultation regarding equipment abnormalities and required to work in varying temperatures within a manufacturing environment.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related filed
  • Proven experience in electrical engineering within a manufacturing environment, preferably in plastic or paper
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, controls and instrumentation, including PLC programming and HMI design
  • Proficiency in CAD software for electrical design and layout (E.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks Electrical)
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations (e.g., NEC, IEC, UL)
  • Excellent problem-solving and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate efficiently with cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrate project management abilities, including planning, execution, and implementation
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment
  • Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary
  • Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures (cold and hot)
  • Subject to noise
