Job Summary
Electrical engineer role focused on industrial electrical systems, instrumentation, and controls, performing design calculations, developing equipment specifications, field documentation, and client interaction. Responsibilities include creating detailed electrical design drawings and documents for construction and maintenance, conducting electrical studies, programming protection relays and VFDs, and performing project engineering management tasks (scheduling, estimating, tracking, communications). Familiarity with IEEE standards and NFPA codes (NFPA 70) required. Potential travel to industrial facilities (occasional).
Required Qualifications
- BSEE or MSEE from ABET accredited university
- 6+ years of experience as an electrical engineer in an industrial setting
- electrical-system and arc-flash study experience
- familiarity with electrical drawings and documentation (e.g., electrical plans and elevations, conduit and cable schedules, one-line diagrams, MCC and switchgear layouts, electrical panel schedules, wiring diagrams, motor-control and other schematics, P&IDs, lighting plans)
- P.E. license desirable
