Job Summary
Design electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and data security for commercial, healthcare, and industrial buildings across British Columbia and the Yukon. Develop electrical BIM models with multidisciplinary teams and prepare drawings, technical documentation, and specifications supporting project delivery. Apply the BC Building Code and Canadian Electrical Code to ensure compliant designs, while completing system calculations using industry-standard tools. Participate in construction reviews and coordinate project documentation to drive successful outcomes. This role supports the next generation of resilient spaces within WSP's Vancouver office, offering career acceleration through collaborative, people-first engineering practices.
Required Qualifications
- Electrical Engineering degree with EIT registration with EGBC (or eligibility to register)
- 2+ years of experience in electrical design consulting for buildings
- Curiosity, initiative, attention to detail, and an organized approach to managing tasks and deadlines
- Ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary project teams and contribute to fast‐paced submissions
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and AutoCAD
- Working knowledge of relevant electrical and building codes and standards in Canada
Desired Qualifications
- familiarity with Revit, AGI, or ETAP is an asset
