Job Summary
Electrical Engineer III with 7–10 years of related experience leading advanced electronics hardware and software development for industrial control systems. Responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing software for embedded computing platforms and PLC-based automation; leading large-scale engineering projects; coordinating cross-functional teams; managing project timelines; and delivering high-performance solutions. Travel to support project evaluations, installations, commissioning, and troubleshooting. Design and validate electronic circuits (schematic capture, PCB design), use diagnostic/test equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, counters, pulse generators), maintain BOMs and ECNs, produce technical documentation, and leverage OrCAD/AutoCAD for drawings. Requires Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, 7–10 years of experience, expertise in Assembly/C/C++, PLC programming, and familiarity with motors/drive technology and real-time embedded software.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- 7–10 years of experience in a related engineering field
- Expert knowledge of Assembly, C, C++, PLC programming, or other high-level programming languages
- Strong familiarity with digital and analog circuits, AC/DC motors, and drive technology
- Ability to use and interpret results from electronic test equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, counters, pulse generators)
- Working knowledge of OrCAD and AutoCAD for schematic capture, PCB design, and technical drawings
- Knowledge of MS-DOS, MS Windows, and PC-compatible hardware environments
- Understanding of microprocessors, memory architectures, and interface circuitry
- Familiarity with real-time programming concepts as applied to embedded and control system software development
