Job Summary

Conduct power system studies including load flow, short circuit, protective device coordination, arc flash analysis, and transient stability using PSSE, ETAP, ASPEN, or SKM. Develop relay protection schemes, prepare technical reports, and review equipment specifications while ensuring compliance with NERC, IEEE, and utility standards. Interface with project managers and discipline leads to meet client expectations and assist in troubleshooting performance issues. Requires Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, five years of renewable energy experience, and a Professional Engineer license. Travel up to 10% nationally; eligible for remote work.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Engineering, or relevant field
  • 5 years of experience in renewable energy, power generation or power delivery
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • Proficiency in PSSE, ETAP, ASPEN, SKM, or similar tools
  • Experience with industry codes and standards including the IEEE, NESC, and NEC
  • Experience with renewable energy industry related to utility scale battery energy storage system and solar projects
  • Experience with power system studies including load flow, short circuit, grounding, and arc flash
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to travel up to 10% nationally
