Job Summary
Electrical Engineer III to support building systems design and project delivery for commercial, institutional, and industrial projects. Responsibilities include electrical design and documentation (power plans, lighting plans, panel schedules, one-lines and risers), coordination across disciplines, QA/QC, and professional client-facing communication. The role involves producing construction documents suitable for permitting, contributing to engineering specifications, mentoring junior engineers/designers, and supporting project leadership from scope through delivery. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 5+ years of relevant experience; proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit; strong knowledge of codes, standards, and drafting/coordination practices; plus potential for EIT/PE credentials. Travel is noted as occasional. Milwaukee, WI-based, full-time opportunity with compensation in the $85k–$115k DOE range.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical Engineering preferred)
- 5+ years of professional electrical engineering experience (building systems preferred)
- Proficiency with AutoCAD
- Proficiency with Revit
- Strong knowledge of building codes and engineering standards
- Ability to interpret and produce construction drawings
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Experience in client-facing coordination roles
- Ability to lead portions of design delivery with limited oversight
