Job Summary
Electrical Engineer III focuses on the design and engineering of electrical systems for life sciences/building projects, overseeing the Electrical discipline scope and budget on small to medium projects of intermediate complexity, and coordinating with internal and external architects, engineers, clients, construction managers, subcontractors, vendors and manufacturers. Core activities include designing electrical systems, creating one-line diagrams and construction drawings, coordinating with trades, developing reports and specifications, supporting construction activities, directing work and budget, mentoring less experienced engineers, and using BIM tools (Revit/AutoCAD). Requires ABET-accredited bachelor’s degree, 5 years of relevant experience, and Professional Engineer license; preferred experience in GMP environments and proficiency with industry codes (NFPA, IESNA, UL, OSHA, IEEE). Ability to travel for client development and project execution. Location: Tampa, FL; hybrid remote option.
Required Qualifications
- ABET-accredited Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Architectural Engineering or Engineering Technology
- 5 years of experience
- Professional Engineer registration in good standing
