Job Summary
Electrical Engineer II responsible for leading design of power distribution, lighting, and low-voltage building systems for commercial, healthcare, and institutional projects. Develop construction documents, perform load calculations and lighting analysis, select equipment, coordinate with mechanical/structural teams, apply NEC and building codes, support construction administration (RFIs, submittals, field coordination), contribute to design alternatives and value-engineering, and ensure quality and timely project deliverables. Mentorship and structured development resources are highlighted to accelerate licensure and career growth.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
- 3–5 years of electrical design experience in AEC or building systems
- Strong foundation in power distribution, lighting, and low-voltage infrastructure
- Knowledge of NEC, building codes, and multi-discipline coordination
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit
- Experience with SKM or lighting calculation tools
- Effective communication within a multidisciplinary team
- EIT certification or actively pursuing PE licensure (preferred)
