Job Summary
As an Electrical Engineer II, you will design and deliver electrical systems for various building types, developing concepts and documentation for power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, security, and communication systems. Responsibilities include conducting field investigations, utilizing design tools like Revit and AutoCAD, coordinating design efforts, and ensuring accuracy in project deliverables. Candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, hold a PE license, and have a minimum of 5 years' relevant experience. Strong knowledge of electrical systems and proficiency in design software are required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an EAC/ABET-accredited program (or equivalent combination of education and experience required for licensure).
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) required.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience across a variety of project types.
- Strong knowledge of electrical engineering systems including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, security, and communications design.
- Proven experience developing construction drawings, specifications, and executing QA/QC processes.
- Demonstrated ability to independently design and coordinate complex projects while integrating work across multidisciplinary teams, consultants, and authorities having jurisdiction.
- Strong understanding of electrical codes, standards, and documentation processes.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD products.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with Project, SharePoint, and Teams preferred.
Desired Qualifications
- Professional affiliations and certifications such as NCEES, NSPE, CSI-CDT, LEED AP BD+C, or WELL AP preferred.
- Experience with arc flash studies and related simulation software; proficiency in Elum Tools or Visual Lighting Software and Easy Power preferred.
