Job Summary
Electrical Engineer II focused on hyperscale data centers and mission-critical facilities. Collaborates with senior design staff to produce electrical engineering documents, perform intermediate to advanced electrical design tasks, conduct computations and analysis, and prepare construction documents. Uses AutoCAD and Revit for drawings, reviews sequences of operations, and assists in pre-construction and construction activities including reviewing shop drawings, RFIs, and submittals. Reports on project progress, leverages AI-enabled tools to improve efficiency, and supports adoption of innovative digital workflows while working in a remote environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical from ABET accredited institution
- Minimum of three years of electrical engineering experience
- Knowledge of the fundamentals of electrical systems found in buildings including single/three phase power distribution, lighting and lighting controls, grounding and life safety systems
- Knowledge of codes and specifications for the design of electrical systems including National Electric Code, Life Safety and Energy Conservation Codes
- Knowledge of technical / design software including short circuit coordination and arc flash studies, equipment sizing and lighting calculations
- Skilled at producing drawings and visual aids using AutoCAD and Revit
- Skilled at using MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams)
- Ability to leverage AI and emerging technologies to streamline workflows
- Ability to work successfully in a remote environment thru effective communication and organizational skills
- Ability to follow company and site safety requirements
- Ability to analyze and prepare documents, reports and correspondence
- Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form (technical and non-technical information)
- Ability to communicate effectively directly with clients and at times serve as primary point of client contact
- Ability to work successfully as a member of a team and independently with moderate supervision
- Ability to work under pressure and meet close deadlines
- Travel/Relocation: Approximately 10% travel to 50 states
