Job Summary
Prepare specifications for power electronic equipment used on chiller equipment and design electrical motors, control motors, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes. Review test data from power electronic equipment to evaluate suitability and performance, then prepare test and qualification plans while supporting corrective actions to solve quality problems. Work directly with subassemblies supporting controls products and ensure manufacturing, construction, installation, and operational testing conform to UL safety certifications and functional specifications. Use computer-aided engineering and design software to perform engineering tasks and support cross-functional meetings to review project progress.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in electrical engineering or related field
- Minimum of 3 years of power electronic experience required in power design, power distribution, VFD's, electric and control motors
- 2+ years working in an Agile development environment
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in the HVAC industry
- 4+ years of power electronic experience
