Electrical Engineer II

Job Summary
Design and develop electric/electronic devices and systems for new or existing products, while troubleshooting assemblies and confirming component capabilities through tailored testing methods. Evaluate project progress, recommend design and procedural changes, and develop engineering test standards where applicable. Advise on manufacturing methods during design phases based on cost and design studies. Act as a liaison between departments and adhere to new product development processes spanning concept analysis through post-launch. Briggs & Stratton, the world's largest producer of engines for outdoor power equipment, designs and manufactures diverse power solutions including lithium-ion batteries and energy storage systems across more than 100 countries.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors in Electrical Engineering or related Field
- 3 years of professional engineering experience
- Broad knowledge and use of electrical/electronic control circuits and systems
- Broad understanding of electrical/electronic components and their uses in various power systems
- Knowledge of appropriate standards and regulations
- Knowledge of applicable technologies and/or products
- Well-developed communication skills to explain designs and logic used
- Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location
