Electrical Engineer I

Job Summary
Design, install, and commission wire and cable production lines and supporting machinery while managing multiple projects simultaneously. Prepare bill of materials for budgeting and procurement, produce accurate schedules, and support maintenance staff and area engineers. Complete electrical projects from design through commissioning, including ideating original designs and coordinating with vendors, contractors, and internal labor. Provide documentation such as LOTO procedures, one-line diagrams, and controls schematics to support maintenance activities. Support high-level troubleshooting and work with plant management to meet production schedules. Some travel may be required. Based in Heflin, AL, this onsite role supports legacy equipment upgrades and incremental improvements within a leader in North America's wire and cable industry.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology degree
- 3+yrs applicable manufacturing experience
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with an emphasis on Excel
- Proficiency with PLCs, both Siemens and Rockwell based
- Strong analytical and project management skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Some travel may be required
