Job Summary
Electrical Engineer I at Leonardo DRS Land Systems designs, develops, analyzes, and tests electronics systems (hardware, power, power electronics, electromagnetic, ICs) and documents them. Responsibilities include reviewing customer specifications, developing designs with cost as a key variable, troubleshooting, maintaining ICDs, compiling/test data, using CAD/CAE tools, and communicating progress to internal teams and customers. Role supports independent work under supervision, participates in proposals, and supports design-to-cost and design-for-manufacture efforts. The position is based in Bridgeton, MO with in-person or hybrid scheduling, requires a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering and U.S. citizenship with potential DoD security clearance. Proficiency with CAD/EDA tools, reading electrical drawings, and strong written/verbal communication are valued. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field
- U.S. Citizenship required
- active DOD security clearance or ability to obtain within reasonable time
- excellent analytical and communication skills
- experience with Microsoft Office tools
- experience with modeling software is a plus
- ability to read and understand electrical drawings is a plus
