Electrical Engineer I

Job Summary
Design, develop, and test electrical equipment, components, circuits, or systems while applying mathematical and engineering principles to ensure reliability, performance, and safety standards. Conduct research and studies of new technologies to innovate solutions, perform extensive validation of designs, and execute routine assignments using existing procedures. Work under guidance from senior roles, apply analytical thinking and circuit design skills, and utilize CAD software for schematic capture and computer-aided engineering. Requires an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in engineering with 0-3 years of experience, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and ability to work inside and outside facilities with up to 25% travel.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree and 0-3 years' experience
- Engineering degree
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time
- Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities
- May need to stand for long periods of time
- Must be able to work inside and outside with exposure to changing climate and/or operate machinery
- This position is Safety-Sensitive
- Up to 25% travel likely
