Job Summary
Electrical Engineer I designs basic electrical layouts and systems for building projects, coordinating with architects, engineers, and trade partners. Responsibilities include basic field investigations to integrate designs with existing conditions, performing design development and construction documentation across studies, conceptual and schematic design, and construction administration under supervision; requires use of Revit and basic electrical design calculations, with opportunities to travel for client development and project execution.
Required Qualifications
- ABET-accredited Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering
- 0 to 3 years of experience in a design firm setting
- Experience using Revit
- Fundamentals of Engineering Exam registration or completion preferred
- Fundamental experience with performing engineering calculations, and developing and implementing electrical lighting, power, and special systems designs
- Ability to interface with client and external partners
- Ability to travel as for client development and project execution
- Fundamental experience conducting field surveys of existing conditions and support of field reporting
- Proficient at fundamental electrical design calculations under the supervision of an engineer
