Job Summary
Electrical Engineer I responsible for developing and maintaining electromechanical system designs under supervision, guiding designers/drafters on documentation, and providing engineering support to internal and external customers. Key duties include translating requirements into system architecture and detailed designs, designing and integrating industrial automation systems (PLCs, motor controls, machine controls), assessing feasibility and costs of modifications or new equipment, validating designs through analysis and testing, and coordinating design efforts with production schedules. Skills/experience in industrial automation, power distribution (480VAC), motor controls, variable speed drives, control systems, generators, traction systems (AC/DC) are required or preferred. Education of a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering (Master’s preferred) with 0+ years of experience; EIT preferred and ability to obtain required safety certifications. Travel up to 5% and primarily office-based with occasional field exposure. Salary range provided as a guideline.
